Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year, and it comes every Oct 31. In China; Autumn is also the harvest season. Food plays a big part in Chinese culture, and being a lover of food, I wanted to share that with everyone.
Let’s not just make the pumpkin lights in the fall; we can also have delicious Chinese pumpkin pie at Saint Leo University.
- Ingredients
- Pumpkin 600g
- Glutinous rice flour 300g
- Sugar 50g
- 1/4 cup milk
- 3 Eggs
- Butter 5g
- Raisins
Step 1 Peel and steam a fresh pumpkin
Step 2 The steamed pumpkin is broken into a muddy state with a blender. Step 3 Add glutinous rice flour to the pumpkin puree
Step 4 Add sugar, eggs, butter, and stir
Step 5 Stir all the ingredients and knead them into a smooth dough.
Step 6 Divide each pumpkin dough evenly into small portions. Smooth into a small ball.
Step 7 Use the side of a fork to press against the dough to make it look like a pumpkin.
Step 8 Steam the Chinese pumpkin pie for 15 minutes.
Step 9 The delicious Chinese pumpkin pie is ready.
