Looking for a night out or a great place to eat? Try Bahama Breeze! With a fabulous Caribbean theme, Bahama Breeze will definitely spice up your evening.
For students over 21, there is a full bar and many tropical drinks to choose from including seasonal drinks like the Zombie cocktail offered in October. Many of the specialty drinks can also be made as a virgin drink. One of the most popular drinks is the Ultimate Pineapple, offered with an alcoholic and non-alcoholic option. It is a Pina Colada blended with strawberry ice and served in a pineapple. It was one of the most refreshing drinks I have ever had. They also serve virgin Bahamaritas and Pina Coladas. Besides the specialty drinks, they serve Coca-Cola products and water.
For appetizers, we tried the Buttermilk Chicken Jibaritos, Spinach dip and chips and the Chicken Quesadilla. The Spinach dip was personally the best dip I’ve ever tried. It is very creamy, and the spinach taste is not overwhelming; the chips were very fresh and crunchy. The Quesadilla was good, but nothing stood out about it. If you are really into Chicken Quesadillas though, it is a decent one. The Buttermilk Chicken Jibaritos were absolutely delicious! Essentially, they are little, fried chicken sandwiches, but instead of bread, they are served on fried plantains. They also have a special sauce on them that is sweet but slightly spicy. They are easily a fan favorite of Bahama Breeze. Each of these appetizers ranges from $9.49 to $10.99.
For my main course, I tried the Applewood Bacon and Cheddar Burger. This burger was easily one of the best burgers I have ever had; it was very lean and juicy. The bacon added an extra savory taste that was just amazing. The brioche bun is toasted, so it adds a little crunch to the fluffy bun and brings out all the taste in the bread. All of the ingredients including the red onions, Bibb lettuce, pickle and tomato were also very fresh and crispy. This burger only cost $10.99. I also tried a bite of the Grilled Top Sirloin Steak, and it also tasted amazing. It was very savory and juicy, and it came with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The steak was a little more expensive coming in at $17.49, but the taste made it all worth it for sure. Once again, everything was fresh and delicious.
The environment of Bahama Breeze is one like no other. It is set up similarly to a tiki hut but much larger. Bright colors are everywhere and extremely pleasant to the eye. As you walk toward the entrance, you are greeted with many bright and colorful lounging chairs that you can sit in while waiting for your table. Inside to your left, you’ll see the host/ hostess who will bring you to your table. The music is loud and fun playing Caribbean music that you want to dance to in your seat. Outside seating is available, but the indoor seating is more enjoyable and interactive. On certain occasions, they also bring in live music for you to enjoy while eating your meal. Those nights are the best time to sit in the outdoor seating.
