Want to have a friendly T-Rex, or a flaming bear? Well today is the day, because from the creators of the Nintendo DS original, Scribblenauts, comes an all new sequel, Super Scribblenauts.

Like the original puzzle adventure game, things may be conjured by simply writing them on the touch screen, but now, instead of simple objects, a new part of English is here to help: adjectives. Now things can be added to your creations like a flying zombie cat, or anything imaginable. Now the original game had control issues.

Originally, the main character Max would move at a touch of the stylus, but this became a pain when organizing objects, as Max would knock them over, or even fall completely off the screen. Now the controls are not as touchy, so Max will not go flying off-screen anytime soon. Another prime problem with the first game was that objects would fall over, or would not work properly. For example, many of the bridges were sometimes too short, and bridges would not connect very easily. Now, there can be long bridges or short bridges, which is a major example of why adjectives are handy in the new game.

A new level editor has also been installed. In the original, only action based levels were made, which required no puzzle solving skills. The only goal was to collect “starites.” With the new level editor, there are both puzzle and action levels, and levels can be made from scratch and shared online with other Super Scribblenauts players. Many players of Scribblenauts hope that Super Scribblenauts can live up to its predecessor’s name. Super Scribblenauts will be released October 12 this year on the Nintendo DS system.
