As 2018 ends, we’re looking forward to new music in 2019. A-list artists and songwriters are releasing new albums as the year goes on. Here are some of the albums you should be excited for in 2019.

Only a few months after the release of her top-of-the-charts album, “Sweetener,” Ariana Grande announced she’s dropping a new album named after her iconic single “Thank U, Next.” The Billboard Woman of 2018 began her new album journey after breaking things off with ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, releasing more singles such as “Imagine” and “7 Rings.” In a recent interview with Billboard, the singer announced the album is completed, and it came out on Feb 8.

Those who aren’t as enthusiastic about pop music like Grande, Matt Healy and the rest of The 1975 gang announced a single from their new album will be dropped this month. Right after “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships” in 2018, the band isn’t slowing down with new music. Entitled Notes on a Conditional Form, the pop-rock band’s manager Jamie Oborne stated the album is aimed to drop midsummer.

If you’re looking for a new indie album to listen to, Lana Del Rey is putting out her fifth album, entitled Norman F*cking Rockwell. Named after the author and illustrator, the singer-songwriter has been releasing singles from the album. Although no official word on a date yet, Rey promises the album to be released in 2019.

Chance the Rapper has been in the studio as well, releasing four new singles this past July. Prompting speculation of a new album, the rapper hasn’t officially announced it yet. The Rapper tweeted over the summer there’s no new album yet, but don’t be surprised if he announces it sometime this year.

If you remember the early 2000s rockstar Avril Lavigne, be prepared for a significant comeback. After struggling with Lyme Disease for years, the singer-songwriter went on a hiatus to protect her health. Now fully recovered, Lavigne dropped two singles in late 2018, the first being the album’s title “Head Above Water.” The album is about self-recovery and is scheduled to release on Feb. 15.

This article is not nearly long enough to cover the rest of talented singers who are dropping albums this year. Other artists set to release new music being Miley Cyrus, 2 Chainz, Carly Rae Jepsen, Janet Jackson, Kanye West, Selena Gomez, and many more. 2019 will have new music from beginning to end, so be sure to be on the lookout!
