SGU position you applied for: Vice President of Finance

What experience do you have which makes you qualified for the position you’re running for and a better choice than your opponent(s)? 

Interpreting and Leadership workshop in Puerto Rico, Intercultural Student Association: Future Council, Oratory Contest winner-two times.

Why do you want this position and what/who inspired or motivated you to run? 

I want this position because I want to bring new innovations and also have a one-to-one conversation with the student of Saint Leo University to provide them information, support and the help they need or will ask for. What inspired me to run was the need I have from people to guide me and provide me the information and guides I need to achieve what I need to succeed. I want to give to others what I wanted to receive.

What do you hope to accomplish and how do you plan to accomplish these goals in your position? 

My goals I want to accomplish in this position are to speak and help the student of Saint Leo in a conversation one-to-one, give orientation to the people don’t know about some benefit this union provides, bring creative ideas to captivate the attention from the student to participate in Saint Leo activities. Teach students about the help Student Government Union provide financially to accomplish the ideas and need from the student of the university. I plan to accomplish those goals with meetings, orientations, activities and interview for the students.

What would your first action in office be, if you are elected? 

If I get elected, my first action will be to have an orientation/meeting with the students and also staff to tell/show them my ideas as a new Vice President of Finance and how I will make changes or leave things to accomplish their need and university stability.
